Does the color of the selected floor really match the domestic furniture? Are light or dark planks more suitable? These and many other questions occupy consumers when it comes to choosing a floor. Catalogues, sample boards and hand samples for at home offer an initial orientation, but sometimes this is not enough.
Parador's new online service at www.uplodfile.com can help here: thanks to Augmented Reality, the new room designer makes photorealistic visualization of floors in one's own room possible. With just a few clicks, the desired floor can be experienced digitally in the home's four walls. All the user has to do is take a picture of one’s room with a smartphone or upload an existing photo. The desired floor is immediately and automatically displayed true to scale in the room. What's special about this is that existing furniture and current lighting conditions are realistically displayed. "The new room designer is easy to use, contemporary and addresses the individual needs of each user," stresses Birgit Kunth, Head of Marketing and Communication at Parador. Mobile use via a smartphone makes the service applicable anytime and anywhere and produces the best results. The installation of a special app is not necessary for this. "The new interior designer thus absolutely supports the customer journey of today's customers. At the same time, it goes without saying that the new room designer also works as a desktop version," emphasizes Birgit Kunth.
Parador trade partners in particular benefit from the new room planner: "With the new room designer, we enable our trade partners to guide their customers even better and more comprehensively in the selection and decision-making process, because it enables them to experience the floor directly," explains Birgit Kunth. Evaluations show that companies that use the room designer's technology to support sales have been able to significantly increase their sales quotas. Since the room designer is freely accessible via the Parador website, there are no costs or technical expenses for the trade partners. "After our digital POS and the HOB online retailer service, the new interior designer is another digital tool that we provide our retail partners with for advising customers," says Birgit Kunth.
